I’m about to buy a MGW race spec with the low profile handle and I’m looking to put a GT350 style shift knob on it.

I found this in another forum post from 2016 saying that they bought the knob from CJ’s and it was already premade to fit the mgw. Unfortunately I cannot find it for the life of me and there is no link in the original post. Can anyone help me find it or know what I would need to do to make one work? Also does the silver collar come with the mgw or was that something that was purchased separately? Thanks!

Edit: @BluByeU you were in the thread and said you found it on CJ’s website, I know it was 5 years ago but maybe you can help me out lol.

Edit 2: Thread I’m referring to: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/best-shift-knobs-paired-with-mgw-shifter.61428/

You will still need the MGW adapter.

Isn’t the mgw a 12x1.25? I think I’m confused about what the adapter is for or what size it converting to.

The adapter is so there isn't a gap between the knob and the boot and you tighten up the knob against it.

Okay I gotcha but the knob I ordered should screw down onto the mgw correct? Also where would I find the adapter MGW’s site?

When I was ordering and selected the option for the low profile handle it took away the option for an oem adapter and says aftermarket knobs only, does this mean I won’t be able to use that gt350 style knob with the MGW since it’s designed to go on the oem shifter?

No, I doubt it will screw down that far. They are on the MWG site.
Are you anywhere near coastal GA?

Hmmm, I didn't get the low profile so maybe it does go all the way. You may need a jam nut.
You can call them. They are great to deal with.

About 2.5 hours away, I’m going to give them a call.

I didn't see that on their site. If you use their knob you don't need the adapter.

Looking at one of their videos they mention using a shorter nut on a low profile.
Best to call.
