Quick 401A question

I am trying to make a call tomorrow morning on which unit i want. Both are at the same dealer and are about 200 miles away from me.

Unit 1 is a Premium GT. 400A with PP and Enhanced Security

Unit 2 is a PremiumGT with 401A, PP, Active Valve, Safe and Smart, Shaker, Enhanced Security

MSPR delta is 4.8k

Here is my concern. Everyone in the household is very reliant on heads up display.

This is mitigated with 400A and the ability to configure the digital speedo in the center of the cluster.

I see nothing online to make me this this is possible with 401A and I have none close to me. Specifically getting the speedo in the center of the dash.

Can any of you help answer this?

401a on the 18s has a purely digital LCD screen for all info. The speed readout is always digital.

401a also adds incredibly nicer leather on the seats, a leather padded knee rest, stitching and better material on the center console, better stitching all around, and a heated steering wheel, among other things.

A two inch shift in placement will truly be a deal breaker? :confused:
AFAIK, all modes have it slightly to the right, about 2-2.5” off center. The display is not wide enough for this to cause you to turn your head or move your eyes off center.
I would highly recommend you look at a 401a display in person and judge from there. The overall package of the 401a is very much worth it over 400a, IMO.

I'm going to make a SWAG answer here Cobra. But, I don't think so, the center of the display is for the drivers information and settings. However, (and this is going to hurt me :) ) I could be wrong. :shrug:

So now, someone want to convince me that 401A, Active Valve, Safe and Smart, and Shaker is worth 4.8K?

Active exhaust is amazing, absolutely worth it, the shaker pro system also offers MUCH better audio quality IMO... as for Safe & Smart, that comes down to preference, I personally love what it gives you, but some people on here hate the idea of automatic emergency braking and lane keep assistance (both of which can be disabled) - adaptive cruise control is an awesome feature for long trips on the highway/turnpike, though, and I truly cannot imagine not having blind spot monitoring on my current 16 GT, which is why I’ve opted to have Safe & Smart optioned on my 19 order. :)

This is what is on the way to my dealer as we speak. I thought the same as you, "was it worth it". But, in the end I thought hell look at the cost of this thing anyway, a few hundred more won't make that much difference.

I agree Spork. The "safe and smart" package was a no brainer for the brides new Vert. She has limited mobility in her neck from a car accident years back, and with the limited visibility of a Vert this package will help her a lot.

Get the 401a and the other options. More expensive to regret it later and it is worth it.

I was in the same dilemma as you.... I drove a 301A car home for a night....

The speedo in the middle was great but not a decision maker. I then drove a 401A car...A10 active exhaust.....decision was made..... I didnt want the shaker pro or the safe n secure package.... I now own a 2018 Premium Plus Gt..A10....3:55....active exhaust..... AMAZING car and you will regret not getting it.

One more question. I notice the upgraded seats in Ebony have horizontal lines. Appears to the back seats do not. Does it look odd in person?

It actually looks higher quality in person, gives it a subtle design, IMO at least. :)
