So, when building at GT Premium online I look at the Premium Interior Option - $500. Says it has charcoal black interior, custom seats (red line for example), unique door trim, and custom stitched console.

The photo changed with the base seats and that all looks well.

I was going to get the Recaros, just the base ones not the redlines, I don't care for just the stiching only.

Question is, does the Premium Trim do anything with the Recaros? The photo change online would indicate not. I see the seats don't change, but do you still get the other 3 options (charcoal, door trim, stitched console) or should this option not be considered when going with Recaros?

Ok so if you're not going redline, there are only a few differences. Just so you know if you did go Redline, you'd get red stitching on the black Recaros, but I think you know that. If you get black Recaros then what you get for the Premium trim is a different dash with better stitching, soft touch upper door panels, unique stitching on the door inserts and I believe thats about it. Only a few hundred bucks though but I believe thats it.

Now that I actually have the car in my possession, I can tell you that this package is ABSOLUTELY worth it (it's the same interior changes as in the 50th Anniversary Package). It puts soft leather on the center console arm rest and the door armrests, so where you normally are resting your arms gets placed on a soft, padded surface that feels high-quality. It doesn't change the leather in the Recaros, other than the stitching, but the doorcards, arm rests, and center console leather upgrades are easily worth the money.

I was about to say "DID THEY RAISE THE PRICE?!" then I realized...because Canada.

Redline interior is a work of art. Having to pick between Magnetic or Black with Redline vs. Race Red or TY is killing me.

I agree completely. I picked mine up on Saturday and the soft touch leather is great. Easily one of the best bang for your buck upgrades.

400A, PP, Premiem trim is the "base" Mustang IMO

Great! Thanks for the input, it wasn't clear online. My order is in on a GT Premium, PP with this option already with base Recaros. Ordered in Magnetic but considering a switch to DIB or Ruby Red if I am able to. My order doesn't officially go in until January 5th week or so. Dealer is trying to see if it is too late to make a switch. I will keep it on there for sure.

If I switch to Ruby Red I might go red line Recaros - I just wish they changed the seats more than the sticking and the name. The Recaros on my GTR Black Edition were black/red and I loved the way they looked.

Completely agree with Jimmy on the worth of 68B. It's SO nice inside! Much better than the Lincoln I am selling. I think I got the full benefit, with Redline and non-Recaro seats, so I got all the red interior pieces and the brightest interior you can order in a Mustang. It looks really classy and European.

But even in black, the material quality is so much better it's worth the price, easily.

Is the dash leather like the arm rest in the 68B package?

Dash is aluminum and soft-touch plastic, but not leather.
So the top part where the stitching is is just a vinyl type material? I was hoping it would be the same as the armrest on the 68B package.

I don't know if it's leather or pleather, but the stitching is real, not molded, on the dash, shift boot and armrest. That looks really upmarket.

It's all Vinyl. You should go read the description of the Premium Trim Option, its so replete of leather it's titled 'Vinyl interior with leather seating surfaces". Even the regular non premium leather interior gets titled as more predominantly leather than 68B. It's one of the main reasons why despite how good it looks to owners I decided 100% against getting a GT Premium this time around. Cant stand any part of my seats vinyl and don't want all the extra weight of a premium. Already have my 100% leather kit (including sides, back, back seats, and door panels) all ready for installation when I get mine. And its much higher quality leather than Ford.

Thanks. I knew the stitching was real, was not sure about the material. I have leather recaro's as well.

My thoughts exactly, I didn't think it was that much better than the base interior along with the other reasons stated. Not that I would have a choice with the V6 anyway ;).

Can easily spruce up the interior or redo the "leather" work later on with better quality materials. Most people are jumping on it due to the relatively cheap price right?

I'm sure they are. For me it was a simple decision. Needed a V8, 3.55s, needed leather and a sound system. Leather was done before my car will even arrive (and I got some super high quality leather) and the sound system is relatively simple. A pair of component 6.5s, a set of rears, and an 8 inch sub. Easy peasy. I'm getting a much lighter car. I mean just calculate the weight of all the premium stuff.
