ON the 2018 without the PP package. Does the wiring exist to install the PP Dash trim and gauges? I ordered a GT Premium without the PP Package. and if the wiring already exists behind the plastic panel. Well then it's a no brainer.

Someone will probably tell you in a year or so.

I'm going with no, though.

The 2015,16, and 17s have the same dash. That's how I would know.
Most wiring harnesses have all the plug ins supplied but not used on all models (PP). I am sure by this time someone out there has pulled their non (PP) dash trim and would know if the gauge plug ins were incorporated into the harness.

If you already know then why ask the question?

You asked about the wiring harness on the 2018s. They're not even out yet, so how could you expect someone to answer your question?

Lets make It Real Easy

My question was not as clear as I thought. The 2018 is only a "REFRESH" using the same dash design.

All I want to know is if the DASH wiring harness for 2015 through 2017 in all models is the SAME. If so ALL THE CONNECTORS will be in place to install gauges. Then anyone with a non PP can install the gauges at a later time. I know there are guys out there that are thinking the same as me and would like to easily install gauges without a lot of hassle.

There is a huge thread on the 2018MY cars. The dash now has the option of an LCD display. There is plenty of reason to imagine that there is quite a bit different in the 2018MY cars in many respects. For all we know, although they look very similar, there might be 0 parts commonality from the 2015-2017 for the dash.

Time will tell.

Yeah. I'm not expecting any sort of basic trim swaps for the LCD. There's just too much logic needed to control it with all the features it has. I can't see how a base/premium version without the package for the LCD could control it. Power, controls, tying in the canbus, all that crap, I just don't see it happening. You will probably have to swap over many parts to get it to work. I could be totally wrong but just in though, swapping over analog to analog would be quite different than swapping over from analog to LCD.

I think you're mistaken as to how the 'analog' gauges actually work. They're all just reading values off the CAN bus. I don't see any reason why the wiring harness would have to be different for the standard and lcd gauge cluster. They both likely just require power, ground, and access to the HS1/HS2 CAN busses.
