Tune+ I figured I would post this question in an open forum instead of a PM so that the answer maybe beneficial to others as well.

Reading through some of the previous threads regarding 1/4 mile performance on the Ecoboost and the manual transmission, has there been any advancements or discoveries on being able to tune around the throttle closure and bogging experienced during drag-strip launches?

I haven't had any throttle closing issues on launches. The bogging that you feel is mostly from too load being dropped on the engine because of the heavy flywheel/clutch assembly. These cars don't make a ton of torque unless you are in boost, so the engine isn't producing enough torque when the clutch engages.

My suggestion is to have good tires, have a high launch control, and slip the clutch as much as you can. If you plan on replacing the clutch use the ebrake to load up the engine while slipping the clutch.

I can attest to the ebrake working wonders.... Use to do this with my SRT and held the stock turbo record for a while. Just horrible on clutches lol

Interesting I'll try that in the fall

Why does the car fall on its face just after the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift? I'm doing wot shifts and there's definitely a .5 to 1 sec pause or hesitation after the tires hit, before it recovers...? It sure feels like a throttle closure or pulled timing. This is with traction control and advanced Trac off.

I'm having the same problem in my 16 ecoboost I think it's a factory tune issue
