I have an auto 3.15 gears. Hoping redline in 3rd I won't be going too fast! But it's gonna be over in a flash and then I will slow right down.
it will be. i shifted into 4th right over the line in the 1/4 and i trapped a 112...im betting its about 115 is the top of 3rd at 6800.

now that i shift at 7300, its nearly 125

Why can't 2nd be used for this?
I was told by my tuner that it is preferable to do it in 3rd because it gives them more data points. I honestly wouldn't know.

But man, it's just dawned on me how fast these cars are. The amount of power they can deliver today is just amazing. It sure ain't a supercar but for the average American to own/drive one of these.. Great time we live in.

Wow that is crazy. That is in 3rd. I bet your car could do over 160 at least before air resistance get you.

150 and still pulling

our cars have a hard coded limiter in them at 186mph (300kph) that cuts the car out and wont let you go faster than that.

Well I was able to do it! I am alive and not in jail which is fantastic. At the end of 3rd I hit 110-115. It was at least 110 I know that for sure, and I don't think I went all the way to 7000RPM, more like 6500. I'll have to look at the datalog to see for sure. It is sort've scary how fast this thing is. It's a badass.

Glad you survived! I told you that 110-115 would be the territory you'd be in. Auto 3.15 cars go through the traps at the track at the top of 3rd. Enjoy!

Sorry for reviving this thread but is datalogging necessary? Im not sure i can do a 3rd gear run safely anywhere let alone "a couple runs" Lund asks for. Im planning to install my lund tune this weekend

3rd gear is preferred as it is a longer, slower pull. But if you can't manage it 2nd is ok too. Just let them know it was in second.

They are only required with certain " tuners" other don't require it but if you want to do a data log in 3rd goin 100-115 and chance it with police go for it.

In a thread titled for those with lund tune autos what have you added to the topic? Not a damn thing. We get it, you think Livernois is the best tune ever. Thanks for the irrelevance...
