Tell me about it... I was an ass, did it on surface streets. Broke all sort of laws...Not a helpful hint as I'm manual... but I've had to datalog a few times to get my Lund tune dialed it.. Doing that is next to impossible in a populated area. Best I could ever get is a full pull in 3rd getting on to the highway with a turn that was too sharp.. after that.. I could drop it into 3rd at 60 and get from 4500 to Red. Bottoming out 3rd has to either be from a stop or on a surface street.. and if you redline 3rd on a surface street.. you're an ass... lol
110-115I am about to record a datalog of a WOT pull and have also been asked to do it in 3rd. Does anyone have an idea of how fast (mph) I will be going at around 7000RPM? I know I was going 75-80mph at 4500 RPMs so redline in 3rd must be at least 100. It's not convenient for me to take it to a dyno but I do have some highways that don't see a lot of cars.
I assume it would be best to have the RPMs at least 2500 RPM before going wide open?
Again, not sure if its because I'm in a manual or maybe different gears.. but redline in 3rd is right at 100MPH.. not sure how someone is hitting 110 in 3rd.110-115

It is because you have the manual. The auto/6r80 gearing is different with a shorter 1st and 6th and longer 2nd-5th than the manual. What speed at redline in 3rd will also depend on if op has 3.15 or 3.55 rear gears and tire height.Again, not sure if its because I'm in a manual or maybe different gears.. but redline in 3rd is right at 100MPH.. not sure how someone is hitting 110 in 3rd.
