Just keep in mind, the CS cars use a bone stock engine that is sealed by Ford. JLT is advertised as a "tune needed" part. The drivability will only be as good as the tuner. The job of the CAI is to provide the engine with the most and cleanest flowing air possible. When I say cleanest I'm not talking about air filtration, but the smoothest non turbulent air possible so that the MAF sensor gets a proper reading.

I'm not trying to dis Steeda at all. I have great respect for Dario and his crew. Steeda is know for their suspension work, not for their CAI's. My old Mach 1 had the full Steeda suspension complete with 5 Link2. It was an amazing ride.

When I think CAI, I think JLT, the true cold air kits.

Edit:My race car is a 2003 Mustang Cobra bodied car. And converting a coyote CAI is still considered a simple bolt on for us even though it's takes a lot of creative engineering to make it work. ;-)

I for one found this post very interesting. Even know I agree with Jay in that its not really fair to make a post and complain about a product's failure before first contacting the manufacturer. I came away from this thread thinking that if I screw up the install of my JLT intake, I'm going to be called out for not being mechanically inclined or stupid when I call the manufacturer for help only after reading some of the reply's posted by the manufacturer.
Thank you and No.
No, you would not be called stupid or called out if you called me for help. You'd get help even if it was to send in the part for inspection, but I'm 100% sure we could guide you through any situation easily.

Run to the internet, saying the things that were said will get you that.

Remember the old saying: You get more bees with honey than vinegar.

Meaning, just be nice. Being the customer does NOT mean demanding, yelling, bad mouthing or complaining in order to get help.
The same goes for all business.

Thank you for those who understand and support us
