I decided to buy a front bumper kit for the Shelby and just put it on this weekend. It was quite the challenge but I am pretty happy with the results. I know it needs to dry out for a while to hopefully eliminate some of the bubble areas. For those of you that had a professional do your film, we’re you happy with the results, and did you really look the film over closely? I use smaller versions of the film at work after repairing damaged cars, and never really know how they turn out over time. I know after a few weeks I can see how it all settles in but it is also getting cold so it won’t be out in the sun for a few months. Thanks.

I got mine done by a XPEL certified Installer. If you go to one - you will def pay full price- but they did an excellent job on mine and I got the entire car done. There were some spots that lifted up at the corners on the wing but they settled in the sun over a few days. no complaints.

I got mine professionally done and I am happy, the only part you can see is where the strips end on the doors and roof and you don't notice it all unless someone points it out to you. The only spot that is more easily noticeable would be the roof, but thats only because I didnt get it completely covered. I am satisfied with it.

I love my professional installed PPF. Entire front end, A pillars, mirrors, and 10” of the front half of the roof. Some things are better left to the pro’s. A man must know his reasonable limits. They butted the film up to the stripes. You can’t see a damn thing but perfection. Hand cut done right will run you in the neighborhood of 2-3k, worth it.

I've done some of my own PPF but mostly has been done by professionals. Pros who are good at what they do will without a doubt do a better job than the avg Joe. The parts that i have done require hardly any skill, yet it isn't just slap it on. The prep, application, and execution have to be just right.

I just got done doing windscreen protection and I sure wish I had turned it over to a pro.

Anyway, the simple stuff can be done by a DIY, but to what end? Most installers charge to install what it would cost for you to buy the precut xpel.

I had my done by a professional and am very happy with the results. My only concern is that I had it installed over the stripes on the front, hood and roof and understand that if it is removed it will most likely remove the stripes also. Not sure if this is true but makes sense that it is.

I have my car covered 100% and love it. All the edges are rolled so you can not see any seams at all and 99.8% of people have no idea its on there.

That means 156,000,000 people in this world know the PPF is on the car...

Thought to Self:
Is it sarcastic comments like this that were the reason that the Moderators made an Ignore feature.... hmmmm?
