The nice thing about NA flex tunes is that you can run 93, E85 or ANY mixture and the tune adjusts A/F ratio and adds or pulls timing to match the fuel. I am not sure why it couldn't be done with boosted applications but apparently there is a reason why no one does it.

Whipple was full speed ahead on it but then gave up. My understanding is that they were going to install an ethanol sensor because it takes the pcm too long to adjust otherwise and would likely pop a motor the first time you floor it after switching fuels if you don’t give it enough time to learn.

Course I was joking. I have a radar detector and go to Mexico almost every time I drive it. I love it. I asked my girl if she thought the new cal was slower. Her response “when you took off I couldn’t remove my head from the head rest”. “it was glued there.” So I might have been wrong about this cal. We will see.
I as well have a good radar detector. When my wife is with me, she starts squawking slow down when I hit the skinny pedal. Funny thing is she has many more speeding tickets then me.

Live in Allentown and know the drill.
  • State Police run Radar.
    • State Police do cover some local roads so Detector remains smart choice
  • Speed camera's in construction areas.
    • Don't speed in a construction areas
  • Local police run Vascar.
    • Look for the timing lines or time traps on road side

Drive smart and you avoid a ticket

Sometimes, those Vascar lines come quick
If your going 100+ and hit tiger brakes it’s too late, radar u can beat

I believe Fathouse Fab does them with their turbo kits. Not sure if they have / would with a supercharger though. I know on their turbo kits I think they switch to using a Motec engine management system so that might have something to do with why they can or will do true flex fuel tunes.

Vascar requires good visibility as does pacing which is preferred method by the Michigan State Police around towns. Not the beast ways to catch nighttime roll racing in mexico.

Alright guys, my car is finished and ill be picking it up from Ford this afternoon. Anything I need to address or speak with them about when I pick it up?

I know to make sure they filled out the warranty form and get the leftover stock parts. Anything else?

You might want to let them know that Roush will be providing an updated tune soon and confirm that Roush pays them for loading it.

I hope soon is.....soon. lol

Gotcha, they should be familiar with the process so hopefully they can give me an answer regarding tune revisions in general.

Just got back home. Only drove it back home and wasn't really able to test much due to traffic. I will say that in normal and sport+ the car felt good. Definitely has great driveability.

They gave me an extended powertrain warranty for no extra charge (im wondering if this is through the same company they do the 5/60 with for their "sleeper" cars. I need to stop by tomorrow morning and get a copy of it. Also... while on topic of warranty she told me my roush copy was in my packet... well its there, but they didn't fill it out. So I have to get that taken care of as well.

Will post back tomorrow after I drive some more
