Yea I’m sticking with Shell 93

If I do try something, only a non mmt like unleaded VP101, Sunoco 260

A 80/20 mix would give u right around 95 octane if u needed it
The roush tune ran rich.... that is why the cat failed with octanium

In the most of the YouTube videos where we see 10.3s, they are on a track with VHT and the cars nearly dead hook.

If Jasin could only leave at 1000 rpm and half throttle until the car hooked, his 60 is actually pretty impressive.

Exactly, so if was able to lay the wood, I think he would’ve been extremely happy.

I’m laying the wood, I hope the 19” NTO5R hooks

Is e-85 close to get for you ? I mean why not mix a tank full of 93 with a couple gallons of e 85

JasinEdward, what was your tire pressure? I suspect around 20 psi or even a little less would be about right?

Never ever do that, the Stoich on E85 is wrong for gas and AF.

Jason told me as others have said, the tunes rich (warranty) 93 should be all u need

I started at 30... wheelhopped bad 1st run... 11.8 at 130 2.5 60'... dropped to 25 and ran 11.0 at 129 with a 1.9 60'.... dropped to 20 and ran 10.9 at 129 with a 1.8 60'... dropped to 18 and nailed the 10.8 with a 1.7 then 10.9 saw some heatsoak...

It sucks it got so busy.... i was going to take it for a quick drive to cool down....

I did have an issue with the tires though.... they weren't balanced right by American muscle... had bad vibrations from 65 to 80.... not so much when accelerating, but on the drive there....

Ok, just got back from my tuner. Phase two is now installed. The car was dynoed on the same dyno. Temp today was about 42. When it was originally done back in mid august it was mid 80’s. Car originally made 573HP/526TQ. Today after the before and after it peaked at 610HP/545TQ. Car was still pulling power up to the speed limiter which is set at 150. Have to figure another 10-15 if speed limiter was not set, how much from the update probably half that as the car was going to make more power when I had the SC originally put in. For the price per HP ratio I’d say it is worth it. (Naturally Roush could have easily done this with phase one, but $$$$$$). I’m getting old and spoiled, bc if this was 25 years ago and I pulled 30HP from a “mod” in my 89 Notch I’d be at church tomorrow. I’ll post the graphs in a little while.

I have heard that those Mickeys take a lot of weight to balance and occasionally are out of round. I would find a shop with a hunter balancer and have them road force balanced and checked for any abnormalities.

It would seem to me that only able to run to 6000 rpm would not show true peak power. Correct?

They do Bruce, thats what’s I didn’t like about the MT’s, I balanced them to 0 but once I raced the car they had a vibration at the track, I then pulled them off the car after the remtal and rebalanced them and they seemed good on the street?

My Nitto NTO5r took so much less weight, there perfect, no shake at all?

Everyone tells me the Mickeys hook better than the Nittos but I will not put up with a vibration. I am worried about wheel hop if I don't hook, though. I look forward to hearing how the NT05r hooks before I decide on tires.
