Hi,
I have a 2016 GT Premium Auto which will be procharged next year. Car is my DD except for the winter months. Planning on running low boost (6 or 7 psi) and not racing the car. Why the heck am I going FI you might think? Reason is I have access to a kit at a price point where it would be stupid not to do it.
I am currently on stock suspension which is nice for longer highway trips but who are we kidding, car floats like a turd in a pool. I have BMR CB005 and Performance Pack shocks and springs, and a set of GT350 style aftermarket wheels with MPSS 275/35/19 front and 305/35/19 rear sitting in my basement.
Question is: Will this setup be good enough for putting the power down? Where I live, the roads are not that great, so I can't lower the car that much. I don't want to either, not a fan of a slammed look, but a little drop would look nice I think. I don't know if I should try the PP shocks and springs that I have laying around first (I believe they don't drop the car at all?) and see how it goes or should I get some aftermarket springs right away?
Right now, I am between BMR SP082 (what is the drop on these?) and SP089 (0.5" drop right?) vs. Steeda Minimum Drop Lowering Springs - Linear (0.5" all around). What would you recommend? Also, would I need a Bushing Kit?
Thank you for your comments!
