Question about OPG/TG install

Getting ready to put the timing cover/valve covers back on. Are there specific spots where RTV is needed? I see that there is dried RTV on the exposed part of the oil pan, should I scrape that off and apply a new coat. Thanks in advanced.

Yes. Any seams you should put a dab of rtv. Oil pan and block. Cylinder head and block, and where the timing cover and valve cover meet.

There are specific parts that need the silicone in regards to the front cover and cam covers. PM me your email address and I’ll send you the guides that show it.
