I’m fine if the dent is able to be pulled out which it should, I understand it won’t look perfect I just want the car to not have a huge dent in the quarter panel lmao
Either have her buy the car from you, or get the quarter panel replaced for thousand$.

Even if you got into "another" accident and claimed it did this damage, you are still out the deductible. So the Hit and Run still costs the deductible. Furthermore, no matter HOW it happened or by WHOM, it is still a claim on your insurance. So there really is no advantage to making up a story. When it comes right down to it, the insurance company really doesn't care how or who - it just costs a deductible and becomes a claim. You always want to see that "0" on your Declarations page and not a "1".
Fortunately jokes about insurance fraud aren’t too serious or well thought out lol.

It sounds like he’s looking to do this off the books and as cheaply as possible so any insurance chatter might be wasted breath.

Agreed. The advice of maximum disassembly prior to the body shop is very good because it saves a lot of money. The insurance adjuster will still quote the time/cost for that work and the OP will get reimbursed for that. It can reduce the overall out-of-pocket cost somewhat.

Very true. Isn’t it ironic and sad that you pay all this money for insurance to be afraid to actually use it. There should be a law that one claim within a reasonable length of time cannot affect the cost of future coverage. I got nailed for a windshield claim on renewal. A WINDSHIELD claim…. Really?
That’s ridiculous.
