Bought a 16 ecoboost in march, been lurking on here since. Has anyone tried or considered cutouts? right now I am stock but considereing some options. Going to stick with stock as I do not enjoy the 4 cylinder drone of aftermarket exhaust, but the cutouts would be there when I need the extra flow. any thoughts?

I've been asking for months now and no vendor has come through. Might just buy a UPR downpipe and have a QTP welded on at the exhaust shop.

The EcoBoosts in general do not like electric cutouts. The reason is that it is seemingly impossible to keep the cutout area from leaking exhaust pressures. The car cannot predict nor balance exhaust pressures if there is a constant leaking of those pressures occurring because of the cutouts.

I think a lot of it has to do with the placement of the cutout.... This is an srt4 cutout and in the correct spot so it flows nicely

I have had a cutout for almost 15k miles. Exposed to salt last winter. Hasn't leaked once and my tuner has not had any issues with it in place.
