I ordered and fitted a RH side pony lamp this week (from Fordparts uk - £33 using discount code!) following fail to fuzzball.

I would have gone through warranty (again) but with making claim,waiting for delivery, making appointment, gasoline costs, mileage and half day wasted it seemed sensible to do it myself. The unit is of the new (replacement) design, pony falls a little further forward than original - directly under mirror.

My passenger side failed soon after delivery and was replaced under warranty with original unit; so I expect this one to fail some time soon

Makes a certain amount of sense. Would cost me 20 in fuel plus the time to get to the nearest FordStore. I'd be trying to persuade them to send me one first though.

The whole pony puddle lamp saga is an absolute mess. At one point on the Ford system there were 10 different part numbers for various puddle lamps, over the course of 5 months my dealer tried 5 different parts and only the final ones (April 17) revision worked, the kicker with the ones that worked Ford don't list them as compatible with the car! (Mustang puddle lamps not compatible with a Mustang???? :headbonk::headbonk Dealer had to fight with Ford for 2 weeks to allow them to fit them to my car under warranty.

You couldnt make it up.

My dealer just ordered them and fitted them when they came in, right first time!

]and then I got a spare set sent through the post to fit and sent the job card back to ford :lol:. Took about a month though. Most of which was lead time and an admin woman forgetting to send them :lol:

Took my dealer 2 attempts, new version and old version sent but all went smooth in the end.
