Are those having it done under warranty taking the car into the garage, or are they sending the part out?

They wouldn't give me the part.

Said because it was a warranty issue they 1. had to see the faulty part and 2. fit the new one.
Which unfortunately is true and usually the case for most warranty issues, if you were to fit the part, it wouldn't be covered by warranty.

Interesting. When I went in to get mine done, the dealership was super busy. I asked for the part whilst I was loitering around in the showroom, the guy I asked looked fairly senior & he was happy for me to do that.

Didn't get the chance because they were doing it as I was asking!

Seems stupid to expect some to make what could be a long journey for a 5 minute job? My dealership is an 80 mile round trip.

Mine is 160 miles there and back...however presumably warranty work could be done at any Fraudstore and there just may be one half the distance away...

This is what I'll be testing when I get a chance to take mine in - I don't really want to do the 80+ mile journey back to where I got the car from (despite it would be nice to see the dealer again :) )

Mine are still intact, 2 weeks down, 300 more to last.

First time I've seen mine since it was replaced under warranty....it's wonky. :frusty:

Gonna have a go at sorting it myself.
Interesting! Mine is too...maybe we should head straight back for the dealers? It has been annoying me.

Clearly it looks like that have sent some duff parts if there are 2 of us, so we should be able to get another replacement?

I knew there was someone else with a wonky one but hadn't yet gone back through the thread to find out who and what happened.

Weren't you given your part to fit yourself? I take it it can only be fitted one way so would appear that ours ARE faulty as opposed to just being sat in the housing slightly skewed?

Nope - I asked for the part after waiting for a while at the dealership but they had swapped it out by the time I asked.

I haven't looked at it TBH, didn't want to take it out to have a look, so not sure. I doubt it's a case of it being clipped in wonky though.

Think I will get a photo tonight & send it off to the dealers. You do the same & we can have a race to see whos dealer is quickest

By wonky I take it you mean the pony is at the wrong angle?

Yep. Will post a pic over the weekend. Basically, the ponys back should pretty much lie parallel to the door - whereas my new one is at a bit of an angle.

The image itself is crisp though.
