Puddle lamp fell out lol

So I get to the dealership Friday to do my first ever oil change, i open the car door, shut it, and look back, and the puddle light is dangling from the mirror on the drivers side!! I try to pop it back in, and it won’t stay. Looks as if the little clip that held it just snapped off on it’s own. unbelievable! Just from shutting the car door?! So i showed the service manager as i pulled up and he was like wow, lol. Ordered the piece and should be here tomorrow, but still, that’s a little odd.

Mine did exactly the same - new or old designs both seem to randomly do it ...

Mine did it too. I just put the piece back up and ran a strip of scotch tape. No problems after that.

I’ve had it happen twice already. The first time was a couple of years ago. Covered under warranty. Then I just had it happen a few months ago. Actually heard it pop while I was sitting at a light. Had it replaced under ESP. Only cost the deductible.
