Puddle lamp keeps falling out

Hey fellow enthusiasts,

I have a weird problem with my right puddle lamp, it keeps getting loose and popping out of its socket. It just dangles around looking like a loose appendage. Every time I try to pop it back in, it gets loose again after a few miles. Anybody experience something similar? Suggestions as to how to keep it in place?thanks for your input!:cheers:

The clip broke on mine, exhibited the same issues.

I found them for cheap online, but they are NOT a universal part across all Mustangs that came equipped with them. I think the first one I ordered was for the wrong side, the next one I ordered has the pony running right into my door. The last part number I found was significantly more money than the other two, so I decided to keep the pony running into the door. I just don't care that much.

My guess is the cars that have BLIS use the cheaper ones, and everyone else uses the more expensive ones.

That sucks to hear! I was thinking of replacing it, but I might just give the tape a shot. Especially so, since the replacement is so frustrating!
