I got offered a paint protection pack through my dealer which includes lifetime garunteed on paintwork, $60 repairs 10 year interior warranty etc
I will never fork out for dealer "extras" when you can get a better product for a quarter of the price from organisations that actually know what they're selling/doing.

No tint, no paint protection, none of that stuff.

Just my two cents..

My car was given the full treated today by Frank from Bright shine Detailing.

He did a great job which included the Body Armour 9H paint protection applied to the the whole car including the windows and wheels.

I would recommend anyone who is thinking about getting paint protection in Sydney to consider him.
He spent almost the whole day washing, buffering, polishing and then applying the Body Armour protection which is permanent.

Here are some picture of the car after he had finished her:

Looks good Bruce. What was the cost of the Body Armour treatment?

The cost was discounted to $700.

I mentioned to Frank that there is a few people from this forum who may be interested in getting it done.

So if you mention that you saw this on the forum (Mustang6G) then he will give you a good deal. (depending on what you want done).

He came out to my place and did it in my garage.
Suggest you talk to Frank as he may have someone on the coast.

Go to the guy in Lane Cove man. You won't regret it

1 car per day and he gives you a loaner.
Dropped my Mustang off with Frank this morning. Getting the whole outside corrected and protected, the sills, the glass and the engine bay. Also the wheels inside and out since the brake dust is quite heavy even after a week.

Just over $1900 for all of that, which is more than I originally planned, but if it keeps her nice and clean for longer then its money well spent.

Mentioned you HybridGT as the one that recommended me from here so hopefully he gives you a discount when you go in.

Booking mine in now and deciding whether to get engine bay. How did that go?

They are two fairly similar products, I have opti-coat pro on mine and it looks great, I have also seen cars with body armour 9h and they look great. The main thing you should be interested in, is the pre work to applying these coats as they are basically all very similar.

There is a lot of marketing hype around opti-coat at the moment and it is a great product. What were you looking for specifically though, shine or protection?

Thanks for the info.

I want to protect the paint from surface scratches, other droppings etc whilst ensuring that the shine is retained without using waxes/polishes that wash off

I bought the opti-coat for that purpose and it works well. It is very easy to wash now as for surface scratches I haven't really noticed any which is great but obviously it won't protect for stone chips. Stone chips are quite bad on this car unfortunately!
