Lund's main concern with E85 and a bap is there isnt much room for error. He doesnt wanna be responsible for blowing a motor he wants the setups to be safe. I have talked with lund about this he never said it cant be done he just says he wont do it he has seen too many issues with it.

Meth is just the best way to up your octane and adds to the fuel system.

No issues so far. The issue Lund is referring to is the fuel pressure drop. Unfortunately, you will see a fuel pressure drop no matter what in a returnless fuel system.

I can see why Lund wouldn't want to do it.

BAP are really a band aid anyways. Proper way to do boost is a return style with a larger pump.

You need almost 12% more e85 to reach the same AFR. However the octane is a lot higher.

Just too many variables for a tuner to send a tune out the door for.

Umm, BAPs have been used for almost 20 years. Both serve their purpose, both work quite well. If my engine pops, it won't be due to fuel starvation.

They are a solution but outside of octane what is your next hold back? The motor has survived at over 900rwhp on racegas. The BAP will last a long time but a dedicated fuel system is really what is needed past 800 hp mark unless you are going to run on racegas all the time. Not financially smart there.

closed loop wideband feedback system. If tuned properly the car will not grenade on itself. 22v, stock pump, and 1000cc injectors can push ethanol far into the 800s.

Those with baps. Where are you mounting it? If you have a pic that would be great.

I have mine mounted in the trunk where spare tire would be.

Roof mounted mine for the rally look next to my spare tire. Wanted to be different.

I like it, might have to switch to that rally look. I have the JMS and they give you quite the excess of wire. Can you extend the wires to mount in trunk? I didn't really look under seat for mounting the ground wire, just used ground in trunk. I didn't drill holes for the mount, didn't want to drill away, not that big of a deal though. I used doubled sided Velcro tape. Hasn't moved yet.

JMS Fuelmax, in the trunk. Plug and play wires coming from my trunk to the FPDM under the rear seat, then the pedal activation switch under the rear seat, and sill plates to the accelerator. Then a ground from the unit to the ground bolt in the trunk.

I actually trunk mounted mine also using that predrilled ground screw there on the rear metal shelf. I put mine on an old shop towel that doesn't move anywhere until I could decide on a permanent location, right next to the spare. No vibration, no holes.

Thanks guys. Guess I'll need to figure out something since all you have the jms. When I bought my used kit it came with 2014 vmp bap. I just had to file down two tabs and it works but wires are less than 6 in. I currently have it velcroed to carpet behind my seat. Actually doesn't look bad there and nobody will sit behind me I might leave it there or get jms eventually.
