Here's my take..

Coming from a shop owner who is obviously heavily biased towards Kenne Bell, I feel that this is about as impartial as you can get. We had a car come in with a P1SC system (base kit), and made a few changes:

- Procharger's base P1SC system with the stock tune early on had issues with tuning, which PC claims were taken care of. I've seen people say yes, and no. I think that these cars are super sensitive, and "canned" tunes are going to be difficult. We have the same issues with other brands. It's not isolated to PC only.. If everyone is being honest here, that's just a fact. We're early on into development still, and things are going to pop up. It may be that these cars are going to have to be tweaked on a car-by-car basis. Nothing wrong with that, and honestly, we feel that a custom tune is always the best option when installing power-adders.

- The P1SC base kit is a NICE system. Outside of the inlet collapsing (which is being taken care of by PC, and aftermarket companies), there aren't any design issues with the kit itself.

- We have made over 700whp with a base P1SC system, with our own tuning/injector/fueling upgrades. It's solid, and very capable. We didn't have the IMRC issues at all, which is pretty odd considering so many others have. Nonetheless, the car that we retuned runs perfect, and hauls ass at 710whp and around 11.5-12psi.

I think that these are growing pains that every manufacturer is going through, and everyone needs to just relax and take a step back for a minute on both sides. It does no good to argue.. Let's work the problem(s), and figure this stuff out.

Couldn't have said it better myself Travis....
Thank you!

NOW LETS GET BACK ON TOPIC:
How is Phil15GT's BOSS INTAKE going?:)

Since he is paving the way, for likely a mod that many will be doing.
My hats off to Phil for doing what he is doing. :)
And can't wait to see dyno results.

Well, still getting the tuning ironed out with lund. The car seems to be pulling timing still. I was planning on going to the track tomorrow and getting some fresh race gas and giving it a go... Was hoping to bust into the 10s.... but, the damn rain is about to roll in. I was fired up, guess I will have to wait.

For anyone interested in boss intake manifold info. I did some more cutting of my hood and seems to fit a little better. I really had to hack away at the hood to get it to close a little easier. Pretty much removed the center portion of the hood (inside only) and put the hood blanket back on so you can't see the area I karate chopped off.

Another note, with just 12 degrees of timing (pulling 3ish) the car is nasty when it drops down to second gear. The wife gets so pissed when I do that because it pretty much rips the glasses off her face.... PowA!!!

Actually I think the 11-14 intake is the way to go. Someone else is already doing it and I will allow them to chime in if they want to.

Should we upgrade the pro flow at 700rwhp or 700hp?
700 wheel would be it.
It supports pretty much a D-1SC on kill.

Its not an exact science, since its really just the sound of surge that your going to hear, its not going to really hurt anything. (might shutter the tubes a little) but nothing you haven't heard from every turbo car out there.... the "cha cha cha cha" noise.

But remember its a WIDE open 1.5" hole, when the blade opens.
Other valves of similar size make the air do a 90 degree turn as it exits.
(which flows less)

So our valve may "look" odd to most used to the Tial or "Turbo" style.
However it FLOWS like none other.
(same reason you don't see a throttle body on your car looking like a Tial valve)

Anyways, now I am rambling.... I believe the question was answered.

And get back to reading about the intake swap. :)

Once you make it fit (which seemed to be the issue)
That intake is flat out killer, worth every penny over the stock unit.

Great choice. :headbang::ford:

First pass at the track did an 11.6 at 123. No impressed at all. Did a 1.8 60ft. Didn't get to log the pass because my laptop is a piece of junk, hoping it works next pass. Shift points are a little sporadic. In Sportmode it shifted at 6800 in first to second, but after that, it shifted around 7300. I am interested to see how much timing it is pulling. Will try to get a log next pass and will try and see what boost its making.

I also regapped the plugs to 30, they looked fine. I had about 4 gallons of 93 and torco in the take when I got here. Tossed in 5 gallons of MS109 at the track. Shouldn't be a fuel issue if its pulling timing still.
