ProCharger jackscrew rusting... heat extractor plug?

The hardware on my jackscrew has started to rust. It's likely due to the amount I run my car through a touch free car wash since I have no garage. I'm ordering replacement hardware, but I would very much like to find some kind of plug to go in the heat extractor so water can't get on the hardware anymore when I go through the car wash. Has anyone seen such a product?:frusty:

The carwash you are using most likely has acid in the soap (usually on the "wheel bright" part of the wash cycle.

That strips the oil off the jack screw, and not only rusts it, but will make it a bugger to operate. Its a steel item for strength, so it kinda is what it is.

I would avoid cleaners that are that abrasive in general.
