I was wondering how much power i can gain by replacing my Mak Performance 4” intake tube and filter with a Procharger inlet guard pictured here? :

I have never tested the turboguard. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it made less power than the Mak inlet. The turbo guard maxx I think has 81% of the area open and 19% covered by the mesh. From Mak inlet to no inlet I gained 17whp.

You would need a custom tune to take full advantage of the gains to be had with removing the filter. Though I would not recommend removing the intake tube and filter because it would resolve in the possibility of small debris entering the blower.

Probably a few HP's way up top. Not really worth it on a street car though, because even if a tiny rock gets sucked in, you're gonna have a bad time. On the track however, just take the intake off completely.

Its awesome for guys that are fully max effort (like the 1,511 rwhp GT350 with the F1A94)

However, our new plastic STG2 inlet and the massive filter are pretty stellar up to 1000hp

(I actually just run the CARB EO kit and the factory airbox on my personal car lol)

Nice. Do you happen to have pics of old and revision next to each other?

The old was the rubber... the new is the plastic.

I mean they are virtually the same, but the plastic obviously can not be smooshed and its true 4" all the way to the filter inlet.
