So i have a p1sc on my gt. I replaced the upper idler pulley bc it was chirping. Noise went away. 100 miles later the chirp is back. It sounds like its coming from the lower procharger idler now. But im not sure if it is the pulley because it only makes the noise the first 15 minutes the car is running. Seems like once its warmed up it goes away. I tried tightening the belt. Could it just be belt noise? Its a gates belt.

Is the belt loose? Most likely something isn't shimmed right though. Missing any washers anywhere on the pulley setup?

I don't know that more is necessarily the answer. Is it tightened to the correct mark on the housing? If you take the long run of the belt and try to twist it with your fingers can you make it twist over 90 degrees without excessive force? If it twists easily it's probably too loose. It's the stock size belt that came with the kit right?

Sometimes belts just get stuff on them, that pisses off the idler pulleys....
(car car products, debris, etc)

It would happen all the time when I worked for Mercedes for a while.
We tried to come up with all sorts of fixes for it.
But usually, replacement of the belt or an idler was the only real solution.
