Well my the Pony Light on the RHD Mirror is going the same way as others. Interesting that this fault is so common. Mine only started over the weekend. At a Car Show I had mine on display at yesterday there was a Competition Orange and it had developed the same issue one day last week.

Both my pony projectors are now McFucked lol...

Drivers side looks like the pony is trying to be the hunchback of notra damme.

Passenger side looks like there's sprinkles on the top.

Photo of image from the RHD Mirror. The other side is okay at the moment.

Your Pony has dandruff?

I thought it was leaves being blown around in the breeze created by the running pony. Lol

Do we have any idea why the pony light is f&*%$g up?

Can some body please post a photo of the underside where the light is emitted?

For some of you this is an issue whereas for some it isn't, yet.

Could the blast of water/high pressure clean, soap, or other contaminants causing this issue?

What are your thoughts?

Good Idea. I will take a photo of it tomorrow when there is no light and when there is a light.

Poor quality perhaps.

Can't be water blasts or high pressure related because I have not even used my pressure cleaner on it. Or normal water/hose.

"Washed" 10+ times with a waterless system.

So the issue is with the door shutting, this shake causes the globe to lose its film (silly I know) but that is the cause according to my dealer

Took delivery of the boss's eco vert early Jan from Clancy's Bathurst, the overall panel fit was fine except for the bonnet pinch and bonnet/front guard widths.
Roll forward to early April when it went in for it's first service with 2500 klm on the clock to the local dealer in Coffs Harbour.

Drivers pony had dandruff, of more concern was the dropping of the rear bumper (could see the tabs between panels) plus the LHS brake binnacle was scratching the bumper bar, vertical gaps in the black lower boot panel were not good - also we were still to receive the second key.

Local dealer put in a claim to ford for $800 labour to fix and asked us to bring it back for a 3 day period when their panelbeating guy would fix it.
As it was going to be in a third party's hands and then going to Tint -a-car for stonechip protection, I decided to set the MyKey to 120 klm hr.
Dealer advised the car was ready and we went to pick it up - panel fit was better but still an obvious issue, upright panel not touched - it still looked out of alignment.

After driving it home 20 klm, the brake binnacle had already scratched the bumper and as we were heading south for a holiday,Michael from Clancy's asked us to leave it with him to fix for a couple of days. They realigned the bumper and brake binnacles, fixed the vertical gap and repainted the bumper.

The other issue we have is both brake binnacles have condensation in them which are on order to be replaced (I did ask if we could get the red ones!) at the 15,000 klm service.

I learned the hard way that you can only reset the MyKey if you have the admin key - of course it wasn't the one the car was delivered with and the dealer can't reset it either. Fortunately I had set it at 120 klm hr on a double demerits weekend probably saved me a few points :clap2:

The dandruff pony was replaced with the unit from Michael's GT as was the spare key which was programmed and the Mykey reset.

ODO reads 5500 klm now and everything is as it should be, Going to be fun if we have to keep replacing the door pony every 3 months...

Cheers

J

I was just catching up on a few threads in the U.S. section and came across this:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1214711&postcount=28

I wish I hadn't now, because curiosity got the better of me and I temporarily abandoned my Tooheys New and trotted off down to the garage.

I have a very similar crease along the top side of my driver's door where it meets the front fender.

Looks like a bit of beating may have been done at the factory to straighten things out a little, perhaps to prevent the door from contacting the fender.

You can only see it at certain angles and only if you're looking for it. Doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it, but still.

Yes Drew I have come across reading this issue as well, with severe cases where the door was rubbing on the front fender causing paint damage. Common TGW in the early builds. Check out the other side you may find (hope not) it there too.

Nearly every vehicle that comes off the PD line at BM requires some sort of alignment either with a rubber mallet and block of rubber, or a twist or bend of the doors.

Next-door neighbour's car went into Ford for first inspection and fixing some things up. He was told that the clunking noise when putting the car into gear was "normal", even though there's a whole thread in the US section devoted to this. It's a sound that I equate to someone stepping in a loose man hole cover. It's supposed to be a problem with the from transmission flange. Not "normal" it would seem.

The other thing is that, when he left the underground car park yesterday, there was a pronounced rattle/vibration, as if a baffle in a resonator/cat had gone loose. Has anyone else had that? I think I recall it was mentioned somewhere on this forum. He's got a new axle back exhaust fitted that sounds pretty good, but this seems to be from underneath the middle of the vehicle.

I hope I'm wrong as he's had some niggles with the car.

The resonator issue is a known problem also. They should replace under warranty or better still get a H pipe and be done with the useless piece of metal
