I sold my gt350 im to a buddy of mine, and his intake had a lot of oil inside it, and he had a catch can. Mine was clean. You are right , some use a bit of oil and some don't ... I beat the snot out of mine and has not used any oil since the first oil change .. No oil in my hoses but I did notice I tiny bit of oil on the lip of the blower intake when I changed over to the MAK intake pipe ..I was surprised to see that .. So I guess the OP has one of them that uses a bit more oil and has a bit more blow by ..But it sounds like it's not a big problem according the Protcharger Tech..![]()
No matter what power adder I have seen all sorts of breather methods.Does anyone know how to run breathers? How to route the hoses and/or which ones to delete and what to cap off?
What do you mean by, "bring them to the blower"?No matter what power adder I have seen all sorts of breather methods.
Like you showed with just two filters. (seems common on the turbo guys more so).... ours just take the hoses from the valve covers, and bring them to the blower. (which if your motor vents oil vapor, will end up leaking out the bottom of the blower)
And some run catch cans from various vendors, in the different ways they have you hook them up. Some have vacuum valves, others are just separators.
You name it, everyone has a theory and way of doing it.
The way we have always done it, YES... the "t" together, then go to the inlet of the blower. (Hence why if your engine does "weep" oil vapor, it goes into the blower, and leaks out the bottom)What do you mean by, "bring them to the blower"?
Those hoses go to the intake tube don't they?
Yup!Oh ok, well if I add he breathers what do I do with those hoses? Remove them and cap the inlet tube?

Thanks bro. One more question. What about the small hose that runs to the t behind the intake manifold?Yup!![]()
You mean the stock hose that controls the IMRC's?Thanks bro. One more question. What about the small hose that runs to the t behind the intake manifold?
That hose connecting to the "y" at the rear of the intake manifold had me a little confused. I Wondered why it gets "t'd" into the valve cover hoses?Ok got it lol. That hose ts off into the ones from the valve covers. Do I connect that to another vac hose on the im? Sorry for all the questions I just want to see if it sounds and looks better with the breathers, lol.
No...it is a vent line...not a vacuum line. The IMRCs are controlled by vacuum and diaphragms. When they move the air on the other side of the diaphragm has to have somewhere to release to. That's why they tee'do into the dirty lines. If you are going to run breathers just leave that hose disconnected out of the way somewhere...it will just vent to atmosphere.I'm guessing it's the easier way idk. I wonder if we can connect that y to the vacuum block?
Oh thats the line he is talking about....No...it is a vent line...not a vacuum line. The IMRCs are controlled by vacuum and diaphragms.
