In what world is the MY18 due out? US gets it in six months and us, maybe a year or more away. Plenty of time to get some cars on tarmac methinks ;)

Begs the question - when will they stop taking orders for MY17's? If MY18's are supposedly going out the door in Oct then you would think there will be at least a cutoff somewhere around July so Ford can fulfill those orders before they start to take orders for the 18.

Look forward to seeing what is on offer for the MY18's! Even though I won't get one, it's always fun to play with the configurator

No one knows; they usually stop in June/July and switch production so first US cars can hit the ground towards the end of the year. How that affects RHD cars is a mystery - it's unlikely they'd stop bringing cars over for a year.

is this based on a US special edition,or some "after market" tinkering in Zeebrugge? if you place a factory order today would it be built before the end of MY17 production - I think we might even have passed that deadline, so do they have a bunch of GT's they need to get rid off?

Yup. My dealer mentioned this when I was ordering. Apparently they were told not to discuss the MY18 as there was no news, so instead Ford whipped up the "black edition" I think he called it, as a "distraction" or something else to talk to customers about until that they can start taking orders for the 18.

Special editions are nearly always released near the end of product cycles to drum up a few more sales

I just been told, they have closed order books on 17 now, 18 order books open in September
