I was thinking of laminating my original window sticker to keep it nice for eternity...would that be the way to go, or would a collector find that less appealing? What are other people doing...just fold it up and put in the glove box?

I always wonder do Ferraris come with window stickers.
Either way you better not drive the car because it might lose some of the rubber on the tires.

I have all my cars window stickers dating back to my 1989 LX. I just fold them into quarters and stick them in my filing cabinet. The hold up nice over the years.

I am keeping mine in a file.

What I also did was print one on 11X17 (right off the web site where you enter your vin and can see the sticker) in color and then laminated it. I have a nice color copier at work but you can save the file and go to a print shop and they should be able to take care of you. It looks a lot like the original.

Better option. Print a copy and frame or laminate. Keep the original in a sealed file folder If you can do not fold. I place a piece of cardboard in the file with it to prevent it from getting bent up.

Take it to a print or office supply joint and get it laminated.

Honestly a frame will work just as well and laminate will dull over time and looks tacky (I use laminates a lot for my job). A UV safe glass in the frame will keep it from discoloring and keep it from getting bent up.

Yes, I'll see if I can find a picture of mine.

I get most of mine laminated, in fact some dealers do it for you before you pick up the car. In both of my Aston Martin's they were done at the dealer before I bought the cars.

Just put in into a big brown envelope and keep it flat.

I definitely would not laminate your original window sticker but place in a file and keep it in a dry temperature controlled room and in a dark location. Collectors do not want an original window sticker laminated.

I also suggest that you ask your selling dealership to provide you with a second original window sticker directly from Ford as they can get a second for no cost to them (I forget the name of the firm that provides the WS for Ford) and then you might want to put it in a glass frame and use that second window sticker for display in your garage or office.

If you want to laminate one for car shows/weather or other purposes go to Staples or Office Depot and they can pretty come up with an exact copy for you and then they can laminate that copy at the same time.

But honestly why would anyone be wanting to display a window sticker?

Honestly it wasn't even for my immediate benefit. With exotic cars, people want to see everything perfect, in fact buyers tend to be rather unhappy if you don't have the window sticker. I just laminate them and make sure it stays with the car when I sell it, that's all.

Lots of reasons. The main one I can think of is a car show. People love to see the original documents and chronology of a car tastefully displayed alongside the car.
