I always thought that pre-panels rear deck panels would be the way to go. I went with the emblem delete deck panel in black when they were still being offered.

I would love one of these but only if I could sell the original deck lid, the emblem delete deck panel in black to at least make up the $250 difference.

The black painted panel would seem to be the way to go for those that are looking for the discontinued ford racing panel.

Cool stuff. They're probably gonna sell a boat load of UA decklids lol

I like the pre-painted panels though I wonder if I match my body color (Magnetic) that I'll create a large wall of color in the rear? I think gloss black will be preferable for me.

I'll have to check with my local auto body guy but I'm sure I can get the MMD matte black panel for $159 and get it painted gloss black for much less than the $249 pre-painted panel though.

If not the pre-painted panel is my second option to finally go badgeless in the back.

Either way AM is going to make some nice money on the pre-painted lids.

I'm totally thinking about going this route, instead of carbon fiber in the rear. It's so hard to wax around the rear GT and it seems to be a dust magnet. Can't wait to see it on some members cars!

Yours is the second offer to buy original emblem delete black rear deck panel, will think about it awhile and then state my intentions, it's really kind of a hard call.

The piano black attracts way too much dust and shows fingerprints like no ones business. Even a painted gloss black panel would be better. A magnetic painted panel is now added to the ever growing wishlist.

I can't wait to see how the black matches up to the tail lights. If it matches I'm getting one.

^^That's my exact concern as well. Although I see you could also order the pre-painted tail light trim now too, so you could splurge for both pieces.

Someone on here, maybe @wireeater paint matched his decklid panel, I don't remember seeing pics of how it looked.

I did, although it was Dupli-Colors poor attempt at OX white. I got a new GT decklid and have the old one primed just haven't gotten around to repainting it with an actual color match from a paint shop.

This was when I did a non-gloss black and buffed it to a semi-. Filled in the holes using some homemade ABS filler and some model putty.

Gloss black paint matches the tails perfectly. I bought the matte MMD and had it painted gloss black and it is dead on.

Already did mine. Actually had mine painted at work. Gives the car a different look.
