Finally picked up my girl. Correct splitter. Already put 75 miles on it. About 40 full throttle blasts with engine braking to seat the piston rings. Clutch is a bitch to get used to. Shifter is butter though, I love it. Ride is firm but plush at the same time. Cloth Recaros are great also. No weird noises yet so I'm very happy so far.
Buy the Steeda Clutch Spring on LMR or CJ or other sites. Takes like a minute to install and makes a hell of a difference on the clutch. I was kicking myself for not doing it earlier. One of the easiest mods you can do.

Congrats!
What's the deal with the clutch? Unusually high or low or sudden pickup point? Real stiff or light? Inconsistent?
The clutch assist spring is pretty strong from factory, so it wants to pull the clutch back up pretty quickly, making it harder to really get a consistent feel of where it catches. I would recommend the Steeda clutch spring, huge improvement and makes it feel like it should from the factory. It's much lighter spring! Like 10x lighter.

I put off doing this for nearly 2 months and then was kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

Glad you finally got her. Not sure how your roads are there, but do you find it a bit of a work-out to drive it with those tires? I got used to them quickly but when I swapped them out, I truly realized how much I was gripping the steering wheel to keep her where I wanted her to go. Those tires stick well but track to any grooves or ruts in the road bad.

Clutch spring, jacking rails, tint, and weathertech liners are going to be my first mods. Also considering a catch can, but not as worried about that now with the port injection, more just to keep the intake cleaner. I know the one I had on my LS2 caught quite a bit, but they were known for that. I may do headers, cai, h-pipe, and tune down the road, but I don't plan to go too much over the top on this car.

You think like me, Mine was tinted from dealer, I put on the Steeda light weight jacking rails, had them for a while but finally got around to putting them on (longest part of install is scraping off the excessive adhesive under the body where they go). You'll catch a good amount with a catch can, I would highly recommend it. Weathertechs were actually first mod I did, had them two days after getting my car. I thought I'd stop there, but then I went on to put the RTR side and rear splitters on, they match the front splitter so well, I've added side scoops, roush heat extractors, roush rear valance parts, 12 inch RF Punch, black emblems on sides (still need to do the grill and rear ones, can't access the front pony like the previous year without taking off bumper, no opening under latch). Probably leaving a few other mods off, guess i need to update my mod list and signature one day.

The mod bug is hard to get rid of. You convinced me to swap out the tires right away for the BS Pole Positions.

Thanks! (And to mvfjet for that response as well.)
If I ever get the a chance to find my unicorn PP2 and get serious about pursuing it, I will definitely look into that clutch spring. But I still have to sell my (showroom perfect, 2,500 miles total, kept garaged under a car cover) Ruby Red 2016 V6 Coupe first. I don't know if this is bad form to ask on the forum, but is there anywhere else besides this forum that is actually worthwhile posting an ad where I won't risk getting jacked (cough, CraigsList, cough), or waste my time with lowballing weirdos? Or get charged some ridiculous fee/commission to list it? I just want to get a fair price (I thought Edmunds TMV private sale figures were fair: is that close, or am I dreaming?). Back in November-January, dealers were offering $15k, which is $4k less than the private sale price. I'm not able to do much legwork - or even finger (keyboard) work - on this due to serious orthopedic issues (long time, but worse than usual lately), so anything that will point me in the right direction is much appreciated. Just to give you an idea, the car is in the Mustang For Sale forum here:

Thanks. And sorry if any of this is improper in this thread or forum.

I never would have thought that the engine in this car would need a catch can. Huh. More stuff I'm learning. I'm really liking this forum (well, except for the whole being called an equine sadistic Luddite, that is...;)).

All of the blow by gets routed back through the intake and leaves an oily residue which can eventually gum things up. It's good cheap insurance but another maintenance item as they do have to be emptied occasionally. With direct injection it's even more important as the valves don't get washed off since the fuel is injected straight into the combustion chamber. The valves can get coked up. At least with the dual injection (both direct and port), this shouldn't be as big an issue. I've always ran one on every performance vehicle I've owned and also on the TT 3.5 in my F-150 as forced induction only compounds the amount of blow by and it's just direct injection.

I took the clutch spring out of my 2015 GT and shifting was better.

With my 2018 GT PP2, it is different shifting experience and I do not feel the need to do it. I would like to hear from those who removed the spring on the 2018.

I'm not sure you would want to completely remove it. That is what returns the clutch to its original position.

Without it, is there some risk of the clutch pedal moving enough to, say, trip the car off cruise control? I can see where that might bother a few people.

Serious question.
