Same..was quoted $400 at local dealer to install PP2 as well.

That is a damn good deal for a dealer installed pp3. I was quoted $435 for pp2 at a dealership here.

Which dealer in North Carolina? I'd give them a visit if they give me the price you were quoted.

I paid $200 for a PP2 install from these guys in Benson NC. 1 hr 40 mins away. My local Ford dealer 30 minutes away, wanted $300-$400 but it wasn't the price that drove my decision.


Ford dealers for the most part, have less experience doing this kind of work than a specialty shop. These guys do this kind of stuff, and a lot more on a regular basis. Pease note I am not talking about all Ford dealers but the majority I spoke with did not have much of a clue as to what I was trying to install, let alone experience doing it, which usually means you pay for their learning curve (hopefully only in dollars).

You just need to be sure whoever does it, is ASE certified and get a work order in writing (as well as your parts purchase receipt) for your warranty.

I went to Stearns Ford in Burlington NC.

What are people getting on the dyno after the PP3 install? I'd love to do it at some point. I don't know how much headers would help in addition to it, but I don't know if I want my car any louder than it is currently (mbrp street, H pipe) since it's my DD and my wife rides along a good bit. I wouldn't want to go the PP3 route without headers if it was going to hinder my overall power increase numbers.
