We all know half a second in drag racing is an eternity(or quite a bit in this example) and only a complete fool would think otherwise...

I believe I have the same specs, just came back from a long trip. In normal mode yeah, it's lazy as it tends to stay in 8-10 gear. In Sport/Track is a different story.

Well, we will simply have to agree to disagree. Where I come from, .4 on a naturally aspirated, stock vehicle, is pretty huge. People often spend thousands to gain a couple tenths.
True and if you compare the distance between a vehicle finishing .4 seconds behind, you'll see it's quite substantial since you're doing over 110 mph at the traps.

At 110-120 mph, 0 5 seconds is around 5-5.5 car lengths. 80-88 feet is a beat down. 2+ bus lengths. Not sure if any of these are "quite a bit" but it's definitely a good amount!
