My car ran bad and felt much slower after the headers. Turned out to be my tune.

There can be a few things at play here. first like what is said your Mind does associate louder with faster. its been ingrained since you was an infant from engine noise and wind noise. 2nd. when you have headers installed you lose a lot of back pressure that the Cats create. that back pressure actually causes the car to hit off the line a hair harder because of it and run a tad better downlow. I won't get to far into the science of it. Now you have opened that up so you may have just a slightly less hard hit initially but your going to make more power through 90% of the powerband.

3rd is obviously could be your just in need of some more tuning. Id say atleast run it on a dyno or upload logs to whoever and just make sure. always better to be safe than sorry.

Having a system that is too large and free flowing can shift your power curve over to where it will lose torque on the lower RPM range. That is why we only recommend 1 3/4" systems for cars that are under 600 RWHP.

Check your knock count , probably tapping the A/C bracket
GSLSE20B is right stainless power headers brand have been known for this issue. It can cause big lost in power if you have knock.

I have arh 1" 7/8 off road headers and I gain a lot everywhere and felt the gain as soon as I open the throtle the first time with the correct tune and no knock.

This may be a stupid question but how exactly do I turn up the sensitivity on the throttle response.
it is in the tune, By turning up the throttle response it makes the car go to full throttle faster. My car is at full throttle at just over half throttle. and if your cattless then make sure your rear O2's are turned off other wise your car could be dumping unneeded fuel to try to cool something that's not there.my car was very sluggish down low until I made those changes and I have 1 3/4 headers.

Ordered Lund FF tune today we will see if that helps. If anything I'd like to see the difference between Steeda and Lund.

I don't have any experience with Steeda but I'd give Lund a 10/10. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Hopefully that corrects your Longtube issues.

It may take a bit to get used to the breakneck shifting that Lund has perfected in its tune. :D

Haha! Troof! Somtimes I can just be driving normal, and the 1-2 shift is so hard my foot comes back off the throttle a little. Love the Lund trans tuning. :headbang:

Keep me posted on your results/impressions. I too have an off-the-shelf tune from Steeda that's made for longtubes, but I do feel that I need to get the car properly dyno tuned and get away from this off-the-shelf stuff.

I'm guessing your tune with Lund is also their standard off-the-shelf? Are you buying the nGauge too or using the SCTX4?
