It is definitely a darker grey than most pictures make it out to be. Closest picture of actual color a coworker took of my car one of the days I was able to drive to work before parking for the winter.
I also want to mention this is my first Stang. I’ve wanted one for so long and was fortunate enough to be able to afford one and get exactly what I wanted. So happy I didn’t get one a year ago before the Mach 1 came out or I would have been very disappointed. Absolutely love this car!

Some other pictures at the dealer the day before I picked it up. As you can tell lighting means everything on this FJG and I don’t know why. I was so much more happy with the color when I saw it in person vs the pictures I was finding online. Not sure why but the 4th photo should have been 3rd in line outside at work. Color is just a nice gray, not to dark and not to bright

I was thinking the same POV as you described. Thanks for confirming this as im waiting on the exact car. What tires are you running? The stance looks perfect, I thought the HP would have been way too low for street driving, but your pictures appear perfect.

Still have stock cup 2 tires on it. Will probably last me a year or two as I’m unable to drive it for roughly 6 months out of the year living in northern MN. I plan on getting the Michelin sport 4S when these are toast unless something else pops up and looks good.

damn, youre brave...from what i understand those tires are so finicky on the streets. Im going with the 4S as well from day one, just gonna bite the bullet and have them changed.

More pics from the day I picked it up. The floor was angled on both sides so it looks a little closer to the ground than if I’d taken a street photo

Went with the base wheels with all-seasons because you're not supposed to drive the Cup 2's below 45F. There will be plenty of days between now and April when I want to take it to work but the temp will be well below 45. Having driven both sets back to back, there is a bit of tramlining with the HP setup that isn't there with the base setup, but in general they don't feel too different in normal driving.
So I did get the HP on my Mach and I did drive it in 30 degree temps, I just didn’t play with the throttle much as I am still in my break in period. Broke it loose once and it was entirely my fault but they caught grip again after a kick out to both sides, just took my foot off the gas and recovered. As long as you aren’t doing spirited driving the tires are fine, just wouldn’t try anything crazy.

Hey! Mach 1 owners, stop going out and having fun driving your cars and post more pictures to help the rest of us make it through the long wait!
I’m kinda in the same boat. Sitting in the garage till winter is over. I took deliver November 4th and only got a few days to drive it

The loss of grip at low temperatures is one thing, but the potential for the tires to fail at low temperature it is another. I communicated with Michelin directly about this, and they told me that below 20°, the tires may crack and fail. In addition, if they are stored at temperature below 20°, they must be allowed to slowly warm up to 45 before they can be used or mounted. They said this also applies to all their other summer only tires. Continental told me pretty much the same thing about their summer tires.

I know I didn’t drive below 20 degrees. Lowest I drove it in was in the 30s but as I mentioned nothing spirited and part of my commute leaving work is a good 30 mins of driving 30-40 mph before hitting the freeway

Hey guys I’m fixing to hopefully place an order tomorrow with Granger for a 2022 Mach1. I’m really struggling with the color of choice I’ve always had black and even though I always get ceramic coated it’s still irritates me cleaning it but love it when it’s clean. Definitely a hate love relationship. My wife likes iconic silver and I kind of want to do something different than black but also don’t want to regret it. Anyone been in this dilemma have any advice lol.
Found some pictures of what cyber orange metallic, eruption green metallic, and mischievous purple metallic are supposed to look like. I absolutely love cyber orange metallic more than I expected to after seeing a picture of one.

has a very vintage look to it. reminds me of a color that would have been available on an early mach 1. i like it!
Reminds me a bit of the 71 my uncle has. Although the only pictures I have without good sunlight do not show the cars true color.

With the number of us that are hibernating we should have a “post pics of your Mach 1 in storage” thread :giggle:
