Some States are offering people prizes to get vaxed. 1 million dollars for an adult and free scholarship for kids.

I think Ohio is giving away 5 of each.

I say WTF????????

Warning bells are going off.

The CDC’s ‘Potomac Fever’ is an economic health threat (msn.com)

Hello; Had to read this one closely to see what it is about. Seems the CDC has been expanding it's power on it's own. Making decisions that ought to be left to elected officials. In particular the CDC seems to have decided to extend the moratorium on rent on their own. There is more rhetoric in the article.

Quote from the article;
"An eviction moratorium gives many tenants little incentive to pay rent when landlords have little recourse to collect it. The landlords, many of whom are small-property owners, still need to pay the bills on the property. But, thanks to the CDC, small-property owners are being squeezed, with many facing the prospect of bankruptcy. This is what happens when unelected bureaucrats are allowed to make crucial decisions in the place of officials who are accountable to voters."

Paying attention to what? The many links of information quickly made useless by the next link that contradicts the first one and so on? I'm here for the Keyboard Commando Championships!

Hello; While the links can be useful, there is more going on here. The world has been inflicted with three tragedies. The virus it self, the reactions by authorities during the pandemic and the economic disaster in part caused by the virus and in part caused by the actions taken by those in power.
I guess for some there can be an entertainment factor. Enjoy.

Every bit of it sucks, and 99.99% of it is completely out of our control. While I sympathize for those effected more than myself, I also find the reactions to some on this forum entertaining, and more so when it turns into a heated "battle". I mean, does anyone here honestly believe they can change anything on that level? I'm just a guy with a mustang, no president of any country knows or cares to know about my dumb ass. Life is doing whatever needs to be done to eat, sleep comfortable, and have as much fun as possible before you die right? Anyone of us could simply not wake up tomorrow morning. Here's to hoping we all do wake up and have a great day!

Hello; Well some background. I was a teacher in public schools for over thirty years. I log ago came to grips with situations i could do little about. I can recall the first few years as a teacher thinking surely someone in power will come along and see how screwed up things are. It never really happened. Over the decades the education "experts" changed things to be sure, but for the worse in most cases. I do not think any of you want me to start on the problems in schools.

So, with several decades of tilting at windmills this forum is an easy one to handle. Thing is I also do not have a great platform either. I guess it boils down to doing something even if on a small stage. May be out of my control. May be a poor use of time. But maybe as in the schools I will be able to do something helpful for a few folks as I was able to for a few students.

We can all learn from each other. Whether we agree or not, favor some members on here over the other, these threads are pretty entertaining and a good way to step away from real life for a bit. Especially when I'm bored at work or home.

Although I don't agree with most I do have respect for everyone's opinion and way of life.

It is some ranting opinion piece that is biased as hell as is most of the garbage you post.
You really are blind.

So basically you are here to teach us some lesson? Good grief. Helpful? Hardly. Recommending (even tacitly, with disclaimer) that people start taking aspirin (for any reason) is quite the opposite. Potentially dangerous in fact.

The authors agree with me..."We fully agree that our finding is not very clinically significant."

I can't imagine being in your class.
