Came out pretty good! I replied to your email about a cam tool.

The exhaust side is very very thin because there is coolant that runs through the exhaust side up to where the turbo bolts to the head. We do the water pressure testing for this very reason.
Thanks Adam, I'll take it. I plan on making this available for our forum members use, along with all the extras Buckets I'm going to end up having.

Back pressure could be significantly higher than that, I've measured 100psi of back pressure before.
I do understand that, back pressure can be 3 times boost pressure with a small exhaust housing like these cars have.. It passed pressure test today at 45 PSI, I think that should be good considering coolant pressure will offset 15 PSI or so....
I'm getting really jacked about getting this head on, hoping the shop will get the head done quickly!

Next time I pull it out of the bag I'll look. I know it drains in the front but haven't looked to be honest

Hey man, no problem, I just thought you might of checked yourself .

Cause looking at it "looks" like only front, or maybe a port right over the PCV plate .

I was just thinking some of oil related issues might be poor drainage .

Gains are unknown at this time, only two extensively ported heads out (that I know of) MAP's and mine.. MAP is tuning on there completely built setup right now. Mine will go on here shortly.

Wes King did the porting, he was a understudy to Grumpy Jenkins, very good at what he does. I'll break down the cost for you guys.
New head. $850
Porting. $1000 lots of hours in this head. He said next one will be $1500
Machine work $383 (valve job, pressure test and surfacing
Cams $270
Buckets to set valve lash $200
Top end gasket kit $212 (came with everything including new head bolts)
Plus my time disassembling the head running it all over, setting lash, I prob got 10 hours in it. Not cheap to do the way i did it. Keep in mind I'm still running stock valves, springs retainers and valve guides. At this point for my setup I don't think I need those parts. If I build a bottom end later I'll add as needed

On a side note my stock head will be avail to anyone that wants it. I plan on making a kit for setting valves lash and the cam tool avail to anyone that is doing a head or cam swap.

Keeping an eye out for when you sell the stock head. I'm going to port it and put Ford racing cams in. I appreciate you going through this and posting it up. It helps the rest of us a ton

Gains are more flow, less boost needed to make power. Cons are mostly fuel economy and emissions related.
