Pony Package Chrome Window Trim Gap

Hey everyone. I bought a used (2nd owner) Ecoboost Premium with the Pony package about 3 weeks ago. I noticed about a week ago that the chrome window trim has a slight gap at the rear, and also has some weird white stuff on the trim and behind it. Is this some type of glue? (Or bird crap?). Also would this be covered under warranty?
