Pollen season ended here 2 weeks ago. Now love bug season is winding up. Here's what we have to look forward to.

I've been dealing with extreme pollen since Feb...ATL. Not sure what's worse, pollen or snow. Feel ya with black paint. The only thing that helps vs other cars I've owned is I did ceramic for the Mustang. After a rain it's pretty clean and that can last a month.

It's terrible. I can't go outside to wash the pollen off my car, because of the pollen outside that gets on my car.

I have this love-hate relationship with black cars. Every time I buy one, I say never again! Until the next one comes along that is 🥴 :)
I did too. My last black car was my 1988 Mustang GT. After that my 1990 GT was white and I never looked back.

I've come to the conclusion that there are only two options when it comes to black (or any dark color) cars:

1) Only take it out of the garage to wash it and immediately put it back in the garage as soon as you are done.

2) Drive like any other car, but accept the fact that it will only look clean for about 2-3 minutes after you wash it.

The Eruption Green is kind of the same way. Fortunately mine is under a cover in the garage.

Yup, absolutely hate it. Car has to live outside all the time now and work has no covered parking with trees everywhere. The wind has also been hell - think you have a decent day to wash it, and by the afternoon it's windy again.

It also really blows when work doesn't tell you "hey, we're having the landscaping company clean the parking lots" and come back to car covered in dirt and tree debris....the day after you washed it. :explode:

At least EG doesn't show dirt as bad as darker colors.

That's exactly why I've given up on washing my black GT/CS. What's the point? It's a filthy mess, but if I spend the time or money to wash it, it's going to look exactly the same within a day or two.

I'm going to wait for the season to finish before I wash it again. In the meantime, it's just kind of sad looking.

Do you park it outside or inside? Im outside, so i like to get that pollen off car as much as i can. If i parked inside, id wait til the season was over and pull her out! The other day, I had so much pollen on car and windows, when i rolled them down for fresh air, all the pollen went in my face. Was sneezing for hours!!!!!!!!!!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I live in a tiny little house in Southern California, after moving here from the Midwest. So, my garage is packed with all the stuff that fit in my Midwest homes. No room for the Mustang, unfortunately. So, yes, it sits there baking in the sun and getting covered with whatever nasty stuff is flying through the air.
