Ride quality and spring rate at static ride height is one thing. Where you’re at with progressives and some DRs with a family of four and 200lbs of cargo in the back is another.

Weight effects ride height in all springs (some more than others), ride stiffness in progressives (can be good or not), and safety in some instances if you’ve lowered the car extremely (linear/progressive/DR), added weight, then smash a wheel on a fender or strut.

Solo riders need not fear, but if you pack-up your Mustang for a family summer trip to Yellowstone, you may want to call an expert or ping a few of the sharp folks here to get sound advice before clicking “buy it now” on a set of springs.

Good thing I don't have kids and generally keep people out of the back seats. :)

I am still on oem struts & shocks after 10,000 miles on progressives. Ride is a little stiff most of the time but the handling is still fine for street use. I rarely have another passenger and have "grabbed groceries" with 3 24 pack water in the truck or boot. How much longer they will last is uncertain. I want a driveshaft, but I may need struts before I can save the money after IRS refund. What a quandary?

Does anyone have any feed back on the Eibach Pro Plus spring vs the Steeda Stage 1 Linear Springs. Trying to see which one has a better ride and drop.

What part of South Florida are you in? Come by the shop in Pompano & get a first hand look at the Steeda springs :)
