Poll Inside - Buying a GT350: Used 2017 or new 2018???

Looking for opinions from the forum. I've finally committed to buying a GT350, but I'm torn between buying a used 2017 (specifically to get an avalanche gray) or a new 2018. Prices aren't that far apart.

My sole desire for a 2017 is for avalanche gray, my favorite color (and a Ford Performance exclusive, which is an added cool factor to me).

If I get a 2018, it'll probably in white or black (not sure I want the cleaning headaches with black though). I've heard that in 2018, Ford started putting updated pistons & rings in the motors to reduce oil consumption. I've subscribed to that thread on this forum, but I haven't heard anything about that anywhere else on the internet. Is there really a benefit to getting a 2018?

So, to those that own either a 2017 or 2018, what are your thoughts on my two options?

There are a couple of 2017s I'm considering. They're in the $50k range, +/- $1-2k. Mileage is under 4k for all.

It really is! Why couldn't Ford keep making this color beyond 2017?! Come on, lead foot gray isn't even close in beauty.
