awesome job! looks fantasticI did mine this weekend. Check out my end product per stage. I didn't show the process, but you can see the end product per phase. Using Chemical Guys products. For Swirls and Scratches, it is a pain to remove so proper technique per wash is important. Not doing the proper wash will be counter productive. I learned from watching the Chemical Guys videos. There are other great products out there, but I decided to use these guys. The end result was AMAZING!
If you plan on a DIY polish and deep gloss/shine finish......it will be time consuming, somewhat tedious..but not really a lot of work! Turn on some tunes, take your time and do it right. My process to CQuartz UK application was 3 days of on and off "polishing"/ microfibre cloths, inspect and redo areas where needed. I used a tape in the areas that had scratches in direct light but hard to see when polishing! Just think of the end result....then consider a Ceramic Coating. It's the now finish and the shine is "beyond...beyond". Good luck and keep us posted. Remember these new Stangs have a minuscule amount of clear coat....stay away for edges, panel ridge edges for any extended polishing time. Concentrate on the more "flat panels" the lower concave panels in the doors are more forgiving to the eye. .......As Arnie would say..."Just do eeeet! "Ugghh that sounds like alot of time..
I ordered some orange and white pads, maybe swirl remover and white pad is possibly an option. Maybe I can get some pictures tomorrow.
This and learn how to do a proper 3 bucket wash. Autogeek has a lot of good how to videos. I thought I knew what I was doing, but turns out I was putting a lot of scratches on my car.Just did my Black Magic a couple weeks ago. Used Griots DA 6in polisher and Menzurna 3800 polish.....awesome . Got rid of all swirls,,fine scratches and some clear coat minor rock chips. Then did a complete CQuartz UK application. On and off a 3 day job. You can't drive the car for 24hrs after application so I waited for a few rainy days! Amazing results and everyone is surprised that I did it myself! So many videos to watch and this forum has some very helpful members. You really can't go wrong doing this! Other than my polisher....about $150 total in products including Reload and microfibre cloths. $1000 plus if you take it to a shop!!!
Check out my build link for video.
It reads..."minuscule clear coat "!!! The paint is under that !Miniscule paint, that's not good.
The ceramics sure give it that outta site shine right?? Do you detail spray your car? I got some Echo2 ceramic spray detailer from Corey at Car-Pro in Florida. Gives it that extra "pop" !This and learn how to do a proper 3 bucket wash. Autogeek has a lot of good how to videos. I ended up having my car polished and detailed professionally for $300, then putting on UK quartz myself for around $70.
So for under $400 my paint is perfect and protected.

As with the old way of waxing, we all used a detail spray for In between waxing. So with Ceramic Coatings , Car Pro has a product ECHo2 which really goes a long way. Don't forget...Ceramic Coatings are basically glass finishes when done. This product enhances the shine to another level!! I used a microfibre cloth and sprayed the cloth and did sections turning the cloth over to polish. You dilute with water....this should last a couple of years. Yes do a Reload every 2-3 months.Damn right!
I usually throw some reload on it after I was. What's this echo 2 you speak off?
