Just some input please.

Thinking of going with Perilli winter sottozero's front 275/35/19 and rear 295/35/19 or just go with 295's all the way around
(on the stock rims)

What setups are you running? thoughts on this setup idea?

Thanks,
Matt

I have Michelin Alpins, but needed 20" wheels. At the time we couldn't locate winter tires for 19" wheels. It was like they didn't make them in odd numbers at all. And of course you can't go smaller than 19" or the wheel won't fit over the brakes.

That said, I hadn't known about the tires you mention in your post. So if you can get them, more power to you!

I do love my Alpin tires. They have fantastic grip, no complaints at all. I had purchased an old beater to drive (99 escort wagon) on the bad days, but as long as the road was clear of chucks of snow or ice, it's a LOT SAFER in my Shelby with Alpins, believe it or not...

I should also state i'm a big believer in keeping winters on their own rims and not removing tires on the stock rims so much.

Only down side with my setup is that while I've got my winter wheels+tires, I have no TPMS with them. Though I know I probably shouldn't rely on that anyway...

Your choice of sizes will work fine, although I have a suggestion for you - get 40 aspect ratio snow tires instead of 35's.

I don't need snow tires because I can drive a different car when it snows, but we do get heavy rain and chilly temperatures where the MPSS's aren't at their best. For that, I run a set of Michelin AS/3's in 275/40 front and 285/40 rear on stock OEM GT350 rims.

The 40 aspect ratio tires are handy because they raise the car about 3/10ths of an inch for better ground clearance. If you're going to drive in snow, that's a consideration.
