i am currently looking to acquire a gt350R , a little back note i was planning on buying a m4 but turbos arnt doing it for me so i want to stick with NA. i just wanted to know the process on picking up the vehicle if you can have the car still wrapped plastic from factory and not have it washed. i am kinda anal about this because on the m4 forum many have asked the dealer to leave the plastic on the hood, inside seats, and not wash it as they might scratch it.i like to have a early Christmas if you know what i mean. If is possible to do this as i plan to take it straight to a detail shop to make it shiny as a diamond and also install the front splitter my self so they dont miss any screws.

Do you have an R allocation yet?

Basic PDI has to be done, I believe, but otherwise all the plastics can stay on the car if you want. My dealer was kind enough to keep mine wrapped as it came, just washed it and that was basically it.

My dealer also worked with me left it as it came off the transporter with basic PDI rinsed off the light road grime installed the splitter correctly and filled it with a full tank of premium.

Left all the plastic and stickers in place so that I could document the car.

I'm having mine drop shipped and the receiving dealer said I can do anything I want with it. He even told me that I can drive it anywhere around their facility. I think I'll take off the wrappers, power wash it. log an issues. Throw some blue tape on leading edges and hood and drive it right to the film installer. Not sure I'll have them install the splitter. I may save that to do myself later.

Blue tape? For protection on the way to the film shop? See, just when I thought I was nuts! :)

Good luck, there are plenty of active sales guys/managers/GMs that could not get their hands on an R.

When you find an allocation, talk to your dealer. I made sure I was there during the PDI process and told them not to take any plastic off, not to wash the car, not to touch the splitter. I was the first person to even take the car onto the street. If you communicate what you want with your dealer and they're a stand up group of people, it shouldn't be a problem.

....im just starting.....i am in no rush....
Then it appears you have not been following along. Rs are very rare and hard to find at a reasonable price. If there is a MY18, it will likely be the last and they will not start on MY18 Rs until after the winter hiatus. Your time window is closing if you want a new one. I would rev up your search. GL FWIW
