Picking up car tomorrow

Dealership has my car right now, waiting for paperwork so I can pick it up. I'm wondering, what all is supposed to come with the car? I ordered the cover. I know the splitter is supposed to come in the car when shipped. The dealer has told me that they do not install the splitter due to clearance issues. Does the splitter come in a box? Is the hardware in a separate box? Also, is the oil filter and filter wrench supposed to come with the car?

Ive not seen a dealership decline to install the splitter. They sold you the car right? I hope they will reimburse you if you get it installed somewhere else.

They did not sell it to me. They didn't decline to install it. They just said they don't usually do it. I didn't want them to anyway.

I purchased the car through a military car buying program offered to service members overseas. This dealership is just delivering the car to me since I'm now back in the US.

The 'delivering' dealer is to install the splitter. It cannot be installed at the factory due to shipping issues (shippers would destroy the splitter).

if you do not want the dealer to install the splitter that is fine-your call. The splitter and install parts (screws) should be with the car, plus 2 key fobs, instruction manual and warranty cards. The cover should be in a bag in the trunk.

NO- you do not get a filter and wrench. They (and the updated manual page) are being MAILED only to owners of cars built within certain dates; the last build date for that program ended I believe in November (they are also sent to dealers with unsold cars built within the program dates--see the original thread which has a copy of the Notice from Ford to dealers about the program). Your car should already have the updated manual.

Make sure to inspect the splitter installation clips which are installed on the under engine cover at the factory. Mine had lost three of them during transit and I had to wait a few weeks before I could install the splitter.

Note that a few of them are replaced with the hardware in the splitter box, but not all of them. If something looks like it is missing, have them order replacements.

The R's have spring spacers that the dealership needs to remove.

All the factory GT350 splitters have Shelby on it.

Car looks great, don't forget the splitter, if you have the ability at home you can install yourself, there are videos around with the step by step instructions, if you don't make sure the dealership does it properly.

Note that you want to keep the packing slip on the box the cover comes in because it is the only document which will tie that unmarked, unserialized cover to your specific car.

I believe the oil filter wrench will be sent to you, if you get it. I recently noticed there appears to be a cutoff date which is mid year for the MY17 cycle. I know my R, built in late Feb, is after that cutoff so I will not get the wrench for that car.
