Sounds like a fun day! glad to hear you beat up on Z06. I use to have one and am now considering buying a Stang. I seriously doubt that guy made 660whp. Thats pretty hard to accomplish with just bolt-ons on a C6 Z06. Either way, stories like yours, are really starting to sway me more and more each day.
the c7 Z06 is supercharged. making 100 hp with bolts ons is very easy. Pulley, E85, full exhaust no problem

Well I dont technically know what he had, I just assumed easy bolt ons being that its a SC'd car and using a tune and pulley and basics can make an easy 100hp on many SC cars. I found his car on the internet and the shop that works on it does have a package for the C7 Z that they posted dynos of right about that power... It seemed close enough based on the race results!
mis read your post, I thought I read it was a C6 Z06. I apologize

I went ahead and ordered the Ford Racing 3.31 gear set and installation kit from Summit Racing today. I expect it will be here Wednesday. Photo attached of my IRS from a hour ago.

I assume by the end of the evening or sometime tomorrow I will have the cradle and differential bushings done. No rush as I cant finish anything until the gears are installed. Then after getting the differential back in there I will install the vertical links and toe rods with eccentric lockouts, and if I can get the car aligned by Friday at the latest, then I will be headed to the track.

Unfortunately the long tube header tune hasnt materialized yet, so the car isnt running at 100%... I will just have to be short shifting around 6800rpm since it goes pretty lean after that.

Been working on the bushings...

Getting the cradle out of the car is the EASY part. If I could do it again, I would just purchase this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-5035-m

My rear cradle has taken a lot of damage through the process of working these bushings out and I would just prefer to get a new one from ford racing with the proper bushings already in than have to put this beat up one back in my car. But I need it done for this weekend so I will keep moving forward with what I have... hopefully it all lines up correctly!

Hilarious, the instructions claim you need only slit about a half inch of the bushing shells and then they will pound out with a hammer... ya, no. try again. I have them cut chopped hacked into a bloody mess and a bushing press is still crushing and bending the cradle before they budge. Only been able to get one out so far.

vids yet? lol
Nope. I probably wont bother until I get the car tuned for the LTH... Something I had been expecting to have done by now, but I think Whipple might have bailed out on doing it... it went from being a "next week" every week thing to a <crickets> thing a couple weeks ago. So I think I have no choice but to finally get a Lund tune... which was the eventual direction i was heading anyway, but for now it means I will have to set aside some time to finally do the entire fuel system over since they wont tune for voltage boosted cars.

Dustin is just waiting for the final release from the calibrator. Testing is done.

Him, you, me and a lot of other people were hoping for sooner but it is what it is.

I understand your frustration and I know you will be going with Lund anyway because you want to use E85 so maybe nows the time for you.

I will never switch to E85 for two reasons. There is none in my area and I will not use a custom tune. The only way I see my car running correctly for as long as I own it is with the Whipple tune. Yes, I have done custom tunes with plenty of other cars/trucks including my last Whippled 05 but this time around with the amount of power being pulled out of this engine I just don't think it's worth the little extra power someone can pull out over the reliability and longevity. But, that's just my opinion.

I agree with your thinking on the Ford Racing subframe. If, and that's an if I decide to do bushings as opposed to Steeda inserts I will be buying the complete unit from Ford Racing for the ease of install and the ability to return to stock if need be. I'm told you can not purchase replacement stock bushings so once they are hacked out, that's is.

Look forward to your outcome and update and as always, best of luck my friend.

Jaime
