Mine was a little on the light side, so I hit it with a light coat of spray tail light tint. it darkened it up just enough which brought out the colors. i really like mine which is mostly black with just enough Royal Crimson to make you take notice.
Oh, mine was on the satin side until I applied the tint, now its on the gloss side
What brand and color spray tint did you use? Any pics?

I will take a few pics tomorrow morning. Please remember a light coat is all that is nessary. Too much make it a black pony. Practice on your old chrome pony first.

Mine is not to light, just not glossy enough. You think clear spray would do the trick?

yes, always use light coats. for two reasons, 1 too make sure the clear does not run and 2 too make sure the clear does not cause the base color to blister.

Sorry for the poor lighting. This is with just one coat of the lens tint. It gave it just enough gloss and brought out the colors just like I wanted.

Does the red look darker now than it did before you sprayed it? My red is already pretty dark, I don’t really want it darker, so I’m thinking about the red spray instead of the black. But if the black just brought out the colors without making it too much darker, then maybe I’ll go with that. Yours looks very similar to mine.

mine was ordered to be Royal Crimson and black not red and black, so it needed to be darkened up. The tint brought out the Crimson and made the black much blacker

Just 1 star reviewed this, the spray finish was frontal only so the rest of the emblem was just left black, not a biggie though. All 3 connectors were broken and so was the bottom of my ponies hoof, plastic feels cheaper, no 3M tape on the back and the finish was nowhere near as vibrant as the image i generated. Doubt it'd stand up to road use either, shame.

Glad i got a RR backup just incase

I agree. It s surprised me about the fact that it doesn t have 3m tapes and no washer or whatever the name to tight the pins behind the grill. I have decided to keep it as a decoration for my garage. I asked for a refund as a credit for future purchase

Anyone try clear coating theirs to see how it brings out the colors? I ordered one for the front and one for the back, hopefully a couple coats of clear will give it the gloss as it is in the photos:
