So my car has the small blade spoiler. You know the one that is about 1/2 inch tall and basically a flat piece of plastic. You know the one that when you look at it you ask yourself what the hell was Ford thinking. Anyway I bought a performance pack spoiler from eBay. It is used and already painted black. I will need to install some new double sided tape for the install. 2 questions

First is it possible to get the double stick tape in the proper configuration from Ford? My guess is no but you never know unless you ask someone

Second is it possible if someone has a picture of a performance pack spoiler mounting area that has the factory double stick tape installed so I can eyeball how it is layed out?

I know it will be bolted down but getting the tape right will assure no leaks. So it is kind of an important step. Thanks in advance for any info or pics that can be provided

Don

My factory installed PP1 spoiler is actually starting to come off because the double sided tape is splitting apart. So even if you manage to find out how Ford puts them on, it might not even be the best way. Tagging along to see what other info can be had.

I have the small blade spoiler also. I thought that I read somewhere when looking at aftermarket spoilers, that even the small blade spoiler is bolted to the trunklid. If that's the case, there's going to be holes in your trunklid for the small blade spoiler that won't be used by the PP1 spoiler. Can anyone confirm this 100%?

I believe all S550 spoilers use the same bolt holes except the GT350R

That would make things a lot easier if that's the case. I'm looking at doing a PP1 spoiler on my car. Can anyone confirm what Kermitz is saying is true?

I can confirm that the Ecoboost flat spoiler, the blade spoiler for the stock GT, and the PP1 spoiler and the GT350 track pack all use the same mounting.

The California special, 350R are different holes.

Regarding the tape, basically Ford just puts tape in the three major areas of the PP1 around the edges. I used 3M VHB tape recently and it’s not budged. Between the bolts and the tape it shouldn’t go anywhere.

Let me know if you have any specific questions. I’ve done a few of these installs.

Removed my PP1 spoiler this past weekend on my 19’. Hope these pics help you guys.
Thanks. That definitely helps. Looks like Ford uses one piece die cut double sided tape. I assume those unthreaded posts are locating pins?

I am doing a spoiler swap on my '17 GT to an '18 PP1 as we speak. Bought Kermitz's actually. All the info I've come up with is that the bolt holes match. This pic is of a guy with Bill from CJ Pony who did a swap.

I ended up watching a few videos on Youtube and the PP1 and GT350 Track Pack spoilers have the same mounting holes as others have stated. So it looks like I'll be in the market for one soon and get it painted Comp Orange.
