I was able to get them to give me free oil changes for the life of the car. Which is way better than having floor mats tossed in.All awesome points of view thanks guys! I'm gonna stick with the performance package it's just too good of a deal. I can just get some 50 years floor mats and call it a day! Lol
Make sure it's free synthetic oil changes and not blended or god forbid Dino Sludge. I had free oil changes through Dodge but with Dino oil. I had to pay the difference for full synthetic.I was able to get them to give me free oil changes for the life of the car. Which is way better than having floor mats tossed in.
Its funny because for me the seats are also the main reason why I want the 50th year appearance package. I don't really care for the corralled pony although it has grown on me. I wish there was a mix of the two grills. One with the fangs and the corralled pony, but I guess that's a lot going on in one grill at the same time. At first I hated the chrome around the taillights and that too has grown on me. I still like the regular GT badge on the back more but I do like how the one from the package says "50 years". So at the end I'm getting both packages too and the 50th year one is still mostly for the seats.PP over 50th, IMO. You get a lot more bang for the buck. I got both, but I really wanted just the seats with the 50 years in them and the chrome surround on the taillights. I much prefer the fanged grill that you get on a GT without the 50th. That and the corralled pony kind of makes it look like a v6 to me, based on previous models/years.
Yes! I hate that about a tablet. You mean ragtop? Damn Auto corrects lol
Why were you considering the 50th anniversary package? What is appealing about it? What is your intended use for the performance package? Why am I asking so many questions? All awesome points of view thanks guys! I'm gonna stick with the performance package it's just too good of a deal. I can just get some 50 years floor mats and call it a day! Lol
Like many here have said, if you don't plan on taking it to the track, the PP is pretty much not going to do anything for you other then 19" black rims and the center gauges.
that's the way I see it! I'd rather build mine.I may be the only one that voted neither but I stand by it! Get an auto without either and start modding to make it your own is my plan. It's a Mustang after all. Mods are half the fun.
3.55 gears with the PP on the EB. I think its 3.73 with the GT.I agree and disagree with this train of thought. Obviously the PP would be most noticeable for track use but it can be beneficial to every day driving as well. IMHO every time you take an entrance/exit ramp you will enjoy the better suspension. Rowing through the gears through town is extremely fun with 3.73 gears and highway speeds do not suffer greatly with these gears. Better breaking period. Doesn't matter if you track or pick up groceries better breaks are better breaks. Country roads/highways, hell all roads are fun to carve with improved suspension.
Simply put the PP makes an improvement to all driving conditions with minimal negative affects to comfort.
Currently I drive a 2005 supercharged GT with a full Steeda suspension upgrade and IMHO my car is the best driving and most comfortable mustang I have ever driven and I have driven every incarnation of mustang out there. I am 100% certain the S550 will even yet be a better driver than mine especially with the PP
