I’m having Pedder Coil Overs fitted and set up by Modurstang on my GT and Mike says the difference between stock suspension will be like “night and day” anyone here any feedback on what I can expect in terms of ride and handling

Can confirm, it's night and day, and the adjustability is good for track driving should you wish. I drive on 8 from hard on all 4 corners, when drag racing max hard rear 5 from soft front, when tracking 3 from hard on all 4 corners (worked better than all hard)

i can also confirm the difference is great.

what i can't confirm is whether the difference is significantly better than a much cheaper set of springs. You really need the opinion of someone who has tried both.

There's a solid reason why people who had springs moved to coilovers ;)! (Handling is better, adjustability is a bonus and the springs are setup to match with the strut rather than a strut set for oem springs with stiffer springs on less travel)

if you change your sway bars at the same time you'll be amazed how with good tyres you can actually power through corners like you would in something sporty and european despite its massive yank bulk. out of everything i've fucked around with on mine i think coilovers and sway bars were the biggest improvement

Get a front K brace next and look at how much fun you can have late braking corners and steering in tightly without letting the wheels hop and deflect power :D!

yeah i have the front brace too but tbh its nothing compared to decent coilovers and good sway bars keep the car flat on the ground when cornering.

It's that added bit of stability in corners etc (well leading into them).

Just had the Pedder Coil Over suspension fitted and set up on my MY17 GT at Modurstang and Mike Lacey has done yet another great job for me (ride & handling superb with little body roll and not too stiff) - definitely the go to place for Mustang modifications

How did you find the Pedder set up?
This is what I posted on another Thread :

I can’t profess to be any driving god by a long shot but I do like driving and I really like driving country B roads.
When I first got the Mustang, I took it around some of my favourite local routes and it behaved as I thought it would - sounded great but wasn’t as firm, composed, sure-footed nor confidence inspiring as my M4 (even though that’s a vert).

A set of MPS4S made a BIG difference but I still couldn’t push as hard as I wanted.

I can now....

The ride is now nicely firm and the car rides with road undulations rather than over them, if that makes sense, and doesn’t bounce like I felt it used to.

Cornering is great - I now have so much confidence to enter a bend at speed, trusting that it’ll go where I point it and go round the bend how I steer it.

Downside so far is too much confidence lol..... I can now take bends far faster than I ought too and I can now overtake in places I ought not too - so I do have to reign it back now rather than wishing I could push on more. Also I’m a bit fearful of my left side alloys on left handlers as I now feel I can get right tight to the apex when I’m feeling a little too spirited.

Sorry for long reply but I really do like them :-)

Now if I can only get the gear change to be smoother (and less ponderous as a result) as that’s my only real bugbear now.

Benno
Was over to GT101 to drop some bits off today and was SO enjoyable pushing on on the country roads - well satisfied :like:
